Greenwood House

Eyes filled with tears

Rose eases the swelling

Healing powers of the sacred flower

Fragrance fills the still air

Sending magick raised into the Dryad

~*~

Gentle Bardess, come away with me

Into the Greenwood

I'd be the Greenman

And you the Greenwoman

We'd stay in a grove of Oaks

Making home under their branches

~*~

I'd awake beside you everyday

And awaken you with a kiss

We'd drink the morning's dew

And eat homemade bread by open fire

We'd dress in furs during the winter months

And place crowns of flowers upon our brows in the summer

~*~

We'd live in gentle peace forever

A sanctuary from the chaos

Bardess enter into my lodge

Make it yours as well

It would be a piece of heaven in a world of hell

And so I hold out my hand

~*~

Dear Bardess, join me in my forest

Into the Greenwood house

I the Greenman

And you the Greenwoman

Staying in a grove of Oaks

Home under their watchful eyes

Summer Grace

Leaves fall, trees become barren

Yet still you maintain your summer grace

With that perfect smile upon your face

~*~

I might just clip this rose

And keep it with me always

So that I may stare into it's petals

And see your face

Your fathomless eyes

Your perfect smile

The Darkness

Angel in the darkness

An angel in the darkness

Standing before me

An angel stands before me

Naked

Untouched

~*~

Candle blinds the darkness

A candle blinds the darkness

Resting before me

A candle rests before me

Burning

Pure

~*~

Song weakens the darkness

A song weakens the darkness

Echoing before me

A song echoes before me

Peaceful

Hymn

~*~

The darkness

Oh the darkness

No longer before me

Instead there stands an angel

Holding a candle

Singing my song

Inside of Myself

Touched by an angel

I was touched by an angel

I had become lost

Without direction I wandered

A desert ahead

Dead forest behind

I walk through my mind

Until I reach my special place

Entering into the Greenwood

She's there

Inside of myself

~*~

I look into her eyes

And I see happiness eternal

I see my beloved

Sleeping under the great Oak tree

Laying ever so gracefully

Upon my grassy bed

I sit back across from her

Not wanting to disturb her

She looks so delicate

I soon fall asleep

Deep sleep

Ever so peaceful

With her by my side

Inside of myself

Beloved

Lovers mingle

I stand alone

Without her

I stand alone

Where be beloved?

Where be my beloved?

~*~

Lights dim

Candle lit

Music starts

They all dance

All but me

I stand alone

Where be beloved?

Where be my beloved?

~*~

In the center of the dance hall

They dance around me

Smiles upon their faces

Frown upon mine

I stand alone

Where be beloved?

Where be my beloved?

~*~

A cloaked figure enters

Eclipsed in fog

Cloak is disrobed

Her long black dress flowing beneath her

Here be beloved

Here be my beloved

~*~

She walks over

We join hands

And begin to dance

Crowd fades away

As I focus on her

She smiles

Her eyes twinkle

And I am lost within her glaze

Here be beloved

Here be my beloved

~*~

We dance forever

Just us, alone

Our hands fusing together

We become one

Never to be apart

Never to stand alone

Here be beloved

Here be my beloved
