True love comes from the coming together of two whole polaric energies to create a third force or consciousness. It is an interchange of energy and passion, not the surrender or domination of either but a voluntary exchange of will-power and respect. To truly love, we must be truly whole. We must accept all of our individual personality as well as accepting this wholeness in another person. The polarity may vary from day to day, moment to moment. but the truly whole person has seen all the fractured elements of their own personality and can deal with them in another. The joy of union is seamless and easy. Love is profoundly its own reward.

Mark Ryan & Chesca Potter, The Greenwood Tarot

The Gathering

The lake was still as they walked to it's edge

A second moon reflected upon it's surface

And the wind blew a gentle breeze

As they stood at the lake's shores

~*~

The Dryad was silent in prayer

And his Dragon friends circled above

The Bardess sang an invocation

And her coven echoed it back to her

~*~

The lake began to ripple

The second moon split into three

And they took the faces of the Triple Goddess

The wind became stronger and the air swirled with power

As they stood, so budded their flower

~*~

The Dryad called to his friend the Celt

Who brought to him a staff

The Bardess was given a bundle by her coven

Which she unwrapped and began to play, her harp

~*~

The Dryad spoke in the tongue of Dragons

As he called them each by name

He thrust the staff into the ground

And a bolt of power surged through it

~*~

The Bardess swung a fable of old

As she called her coven to the circle

She played as they all sang

And the Earth was healed

Clearance Given

Across the lake the Bardess sings

The Greenwood brings the Dryad to her

He comes for healing and her love

A blackened crow falls for a dove

An inner peace given from above

~*~

Bardess lays the Dryad down

Takes up the wand and stone

Charges them with the moonlight

Lights a candle against the night

Dryad and Bardess become one

Chakas/Auras join, blue and green

Smoky emerald, a lake touched by the sunrise

~*~

Awakening as if from a dream

Tears of joy, the Dryad lets out a Dragonic scream

Bardess, weak with spent power

He gives part of himself to his flower

~*~

True magick, they have shared

They find a celebration prepared

The Celt and his Priestess appear

And the Dryad's brothers and sisters all come

~*~

Shadow, Fox and Wolf howl up at the moon

Simba cleans himself by the fire

Swan and Frog rest in the lake

Hawk, Owl and Raven perch amongst the Greenwood

Stag stands with the moon between his antlers

Mor and the Dragons watch interestingly

As the Dryad and Bardess kiss

Praise be to all who destroy hate with love

As they light candles of hope against the darkness

Awakened

This night I cried myself to sleep

Needing to see your smile so much it made me weep

Having no other desires than to be with you

But why this thirst for your company?

Perhaps because I feel something special for you

These feelings are new to me

Having never felt this way about anyone before

~*~

Scares me to think of losing you

Would I in turn lose my mind?

Having lost something that rests within my heart

Would I lose myself?

~*~

I am drunk with your presence

Yet strangely sober with you away

How I wish to drink from the rose mead again

To feel you next to me, once more

To hold your hand in mine

To kiss your perfect smile

~*~

I had forgotten all these simple pleasures

Forgotten what had never existed before

I had left these feelings behind

Thinking I would never experience them

Until I met you

~*~

Now these feelings come back into the light

Having been summoned up by you

Having been awakened from their sleep

Awakened by a Goddess

~*~

I am without myself without you

I am dead to the world without you

Bring me back to life forever

Be mine always

Evermore

War of hearts, over

You have won my heart

Place it inside your cabinet

Display it so that all will know I'm yours

~*~

I care not for life

I care not for myself

I care only for you

~*~

Visions show me of what we could do, together

Visions show me of what could be

How I wish for these visions to become reality

How I wish for you to be my burning rose

~*~

Never wilting, the fire gives only immortality

Your petals capturing the morning's dew

As your fragrance fills my breathe

I give you the key to my heart, my treasure chest

~*~

I would have you crowned Queen

Of my world, my meadow

I would have you worshipped as a Goddess

Of my soul, my altar

~*~

Take a bite out of my apple

So that I may poison you with my love

So that I may have you evermore

What is Love?

Love is wanting to be with you so bad, I'd die

Sacrificing myself, just to hold your hand again

Hold my heart in your hands, I beg you

Be my goddess whom I'd serve with my life

Erecting temples to worship you in

~*~

My shrine, is my heart

Already your statuette is upon it's altar

I see you everyday, in my mind

I play out what to say to you, before I speak

Wanting to impress you, wanting you

~*~

The feelings inside

So hard to describe

So pure, so true

I don't want the world

Or the moon, I just want you

~*~

Now I sit here in my room

Seeing you, beside me

I stare off into the distance

Hoping that maybe I'll be able to think of something else

But I can't, so my mind returns to you

And I am content
